Beginning Airbrushing: Foundations in Flow and Form

Step into the world of airbrushing with this hands-on beginner class designed for artists, hobbyists, and curious creators of all kinds. Whether you're interested in customizing sneakers, painting miniatures, designing t-shirts, or just exploring a new artistic outlet, this course lays the groundwork for confident, creative spraying.

In this class, students will:

• Learn how to set up, clean, and maintain an airbrush and compressor

• Explore different airbrush types and painting surfaces

• Practice basic spraying techniques including lines, dots, gradients, and masking

• Experiment with color layering, stenciling, and freehand design

• Complete beginner-friendly projects like on textiles

️ What to Expect: No prior experience necessary. Students will get plenty of guided practice, one-on-one feedback, and tips to build muscle memory and control. All materials and equipment will be provided unless otherwise noted.   In addition, you will get 3 more hours of practice time once the class is complete to perfect your airbrushing skills. These times can be arranged with The Shop.

Perfect For: Beginners ages 16+ who want a low-pressure, fun environment to learn airbrushing essentials and leave with finished work they’re proud of.
